It's been a rough couple of months trying to navigate the health care system to figure out what's causing my wife's sleep disturbances -- is it sleep apnea or something else? At first I thought it would resolve itself like it did about 7 years ago, but it's taken longer, and I'm afraid I dithered too much when I should have been more aggressive about getting her to the doctor and getting tests done. Especially because we're leaving on our trip on April 21! That deadline has caused a lot of anxiety.
We should have the at-home sleep study results later today to know if it's sleep apnea. I think some of the disturbances may have been caused by acid reflux, and we've done some things to address that, and she's been sleeping much better in the last several days, but I never know whether something will upset that. Keeping my fingers crossed!
So sorry to hear of the roller coaster months. I hope things gets sorted out for real and very soon. Get whatever rest, whenever you can, friend. And the same with making progress where you can where you can. And then I hope you can give yourself the grace on the days you are both worn from this season of trial, and unable to do as you wish. Take care and thanks for taking the time to reply to me.
